"I believe that life is beautiful, and so I paint the people and the places that I love, especially Venice, where I spent my childhood. I like to paint my birthplace, as well as other Italian cities, looking through an imaginary window.

Although my passion for my country runs deep, it is Venice that has captured my heart. It was there that I experienced much of my childhood. My grandfather was a master lock operator of the canals, so we used to explore the city together. I feel so close to the life of Venice, it is part of me. And Venice doesn't belong to Italy, it belongs to the world.

I can't paint unless I feel something. And that feeling must come out in the painting. I paint what I feel, but the observer must bring her own feeling to the painting. I want people to enjoy my art because they find something in the paintings. I want my work to speak to them, to tell them stories, and I have many more stories to paint."
